Born in Bloemfontein, South Africa, Lyndon Miller has been performing from the age of 7. Starting out with music and singing, Lyndon travelled the World for 8 years with the World renowned Bloemfontein Children’s Choir, receiving international accolades in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Hungary and the U.S.A to name a few.
At the age of 11, Lyndon was chosen as a principle singer in the South African cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Evita” and has performed with many local and international artists and groups such as Helmut Lotti, Dana Winner, Nataniel and the Mormon Tabernacle choir.
Amongst the many awards Lyndon has achieved he held the title of South African and World Champion in the Tap, Clogging, Ethic/Folkloric and Musical Theatre categories for solo and duet performances in 2003.
In 2004 he went on to study performing arts at the Waterfront Theatre School, where he was mentored by two of Britain and South Africa’s musical and television pioneers Keith Galloway and Delia Sainsbury. It was here that he became the youngest person in the World to awarded the Associate Diploma through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (London) and receive the ‘Gillian Lynn Triple Threat award, Trinity College Award for Best Musical Theatre Performer and the Tap Award for his phenomenal ability in tap dance with a 98% for his advanced Tap exam.
Lyndon has performed in stage shows/musicals such as Grease, We Belong To The Stars, The Music Man, For Old Time sake, Veritus, Billy Liar, X Stacy, Scrooge the Musical, Best Foot Forward, West Side Story, Words of War, 5 6 7 8 and Diva’s. It was in these shows Lyndon took up various roles of Director, Choreographer, Dance Captain, Guest Star and leading roles in dancing, acting and singing. He also played principal percussionist for the National Concert Orchestra in 2005.
Lyndon furthered his Choreographic skills into the corporate, events and television sector by choreographing for and presenting launches, fashion shows, flash mobs, music videos and commercials. From 2008-2010 Lyndon was chosen as the Face of Canon Camera South Africa. He has also featured and performed in many other commercials for products such as, Frosties, Danone Yogurt, Super M Milkshakes and Marshalls Clothing USA. During the 2010 Fifa World Cup, Lyndon also choreographed several flash mobs for large corporations such as Vodafone, Nedbank and the SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation) where between 50 and 1000 dancers where used in his flash mobs and performances.
Lyndon has worked as a corporate trainer for the largest below the line marketing company in Southern Africa, utilising his acting abilities and skills to train staff, merchandisers and in store promoters for large Brand Holders such as Nestle, Unilever, Proctor and Gamble, Danone, Kellogg’s and L’Oreal.
Lyndon has also acted as a judge on panels for The South African Championships of the Performing Arts, Free State Dance Awards and the South African Dance Teachers Association. In 2011 Lyndon was asked to be the National Choreographer for Vodafone’s South African Brand Vodacom in their Summer Campaign. It is with a long standing relationship with The Creative Counsel and Vodacom that Lyndon continues to choreographer and MC for various events and campaigns for the Vodacom Brand.
After successful workshops, judging competitions and performing locally and internationally, Lyndon is extremely excited to take on new challenges, expose audiences and clients to the latest trends the industry has to offer and to lend his unique ability to fuse Brands and the Arts together to Marketing and Advertising, Events and Brand Holders.
