Junior Teacher Assistant:
You are a dancer who is 12 years and older and has passed previous RMDC exams with the possible intention of training to become a qualified dance teacher when you reach 16 years or older. This allows you to become a junior teaching assistant under the mentorship of a qualified RMDC teacher.
Teacher Assistant:
This can be anyone of 16 years or older that can assist the teacher by demonstrating or helping with dance class organization, admin etc. This is a small qualification and in no way is a teaching qualification.
Affiliate Qualification:
An affiliate qualification is typically for teachers who have previously qualified through other dance associations. These teachers are recognized for their prior experience and qualifications, but they may need to complete additional theoretical online courses and tests, as well as practical training through intensives during school holidays, to align with the standards of the RhythMETHOD DanceCONNECTIVE (R.M.D.C.) dance association.
Provisional Associate:
You are a dancer who 16 years or older and have completed RMDC dance exams of the relevant dance form and would like to train to be an associate member or higher. Certified associate exams may only be done after the age of 18.
Associate Qualification:
An associate qualification is a more advanced level compared to an affiliate. It usually requires teachers to complete a comprehensive training program, including theoretical online courses, practical training, and exams. This qualification ensures that teachers have a thorough understanding of the dance syllabus and are capable of teaching it effectively. The associate qualification is often awarded after successfully passing both theoretical and practical exams. This qualification is in sections.
Licentiate Qualification:
A licentiate qualification is the highest level of qualification and is awarded to teachers who have demonstrated exceptional proficiency and expertise in their field. This qualification may require additional advanced training, practical experience, and possibly even contributions to the dance community, such as choreographing new routines or mentoring other teachers. Licentiate qualifications are often reserved for those who have shown a long-term commitment to their professional development and have achieved a high level of mastery in their discipline.
